Angelou said current plans for a privately funded wind energy farm cold be a major factor in Lubbock's success.

"Along with this project will come tremendous opportunities for Lubbock to attract manufacturing companies of wind turbines and every component of a wind turbine," said Angelou.

Angelou also said the Obama may be looking to make his mark in alternative energy and Lubbock could economically benefit.
