A well-known Lubbock orthodontist, his wife, and his mother-in-law are all found dead inside their homes. Now Lubbock County Sheriff's officials are investigating it as a triple homicide...but leaning towards a homicide/suicide.
Dr. Christopher Anderson and his wife Elaine were found shot to death inside their home at 8517 CR 6500. Within minutes, a home health nurse found the dead body of his mother-in-law 84-year-old Alice Johnson inside the home next door.
The Sheriff's office was called out to the home around 9:15 Monday morning. Officials say when Christopher didn't show up for work, his colleagues called his family. The Anderson's daughter came to the home and found both of them dead inside.
Sheriff David Gutierrez tells us they are investigating this as a triple homicide, but say they are leaning towards a homicide/suicide, however the shooter has not yet been identified.
"We have the husband and wife in one residence and the mother in a separate residence. Those are the things we're piecing together right now as to who the actual shooter was at this time."
Sources say Christopher left a note inside the home stating he was having financial problems and didn't want to burden his family. But Sheriff's officials did not confirm that information.
