Frenship ISD's Superintendent Retires

Frenship ISD's Superintendent announced this afternoon that he is stepping down after 12 years of service. John Thomas says he will be retiring at the end of the school year in order to spend more time with his family as well as pursue other interests.
Thomas served as Superintendent for the past eight years, and before that he served three years as assistant superintendent.
In his time with Frenship ISD, Thomas has seen a huge growth for the district, including building projects as well as an increase in student numbers.
In the press conference today, Thomas says he's sad to say goodbye to a position that's become more than just a job through the years.
John Thomas, retiring as Superintendent: "I consider Frenship my family. And have devoted myself to doing my best, to take care of both my personal family and my school family."
The board will start discussing possible replacements at the next board meeting on February 16th.
