To help the spread the word, over 40 lubbock businesses are taking part in Wear Red Day. They've raised money to support the research and prevention of heart disease. Says Amy Punchard of The Price Group, "Cardiovascular's the number one killer of women in america, and I don't think many people realize that it's more detrimental to American women than cancer."
Carrie Hill works for First Bank and Trust, "I think everyone knows someone who has had some kind of heart related illness, and I felt like this was something that was a great cause, our bank is very involved in this and just wanted to be a part."
