You may take having clean, safe drinking water for granted, But for some -- It's a luxury. One team is trying to change that, all over the world... one step at a time.

Their miraculous journey brought them to Lubbock this week, as they journey not only across the US, but across the globe.

The team of two started in California and headed east, entirely on foot.

The walk is to raise awareness and funds for areas in Sub-saharan Africa that don't have access to clean drinking water. The money will go towards building wells for villages.

They say it only costs one dollar to provide water to one African for a whole year. The walk is just one way they hope to make a difference.

Darren Wendell, Earth Expedition walker: "There's no reason for thousands of people to die every single day because they lack access to safe, clean, drinking water. Our slogan for the Earth Expedition is, we walk for water so others don't have to."

Bryan Schlackman, Earth Expedition walker: "I just know that I've been built to have mental endurance. I can do this. I know i can. There are going to be, there have been times where I've just wanted to quit. But realizing that it's above all that. It's for something bigger than just me."

If you would like to track the boys on their journey, you can go to their website, TheEarthExpedition.com. And if you'd like to help out financially, there's a link on there for that, too.
