A former Lubbock Police officer cold be facing sexual assault charges after a grand jury reviews the case.
Lubbock Police officials say that the officer was rookie and resigned shortly after the alleged October incident.
The officer's resignation did not have anything directly to do with the accusations, however. The resignation dealt with seperate internal matters.
Police officials are not releasing the former officer's name because no charges have been filed at this time.
The Lubbock District Attorney's Office said they case will be reviewed by a grand jury, but no date has been set at this time.
