Councilman John Leonard gave his testimony to a Lubbock grand jury today, but that wasn't enough to indict the three men accused of beating him.

Leonard was involved in a fight at his in front of his apartment at the Dakota Arms in SW Lubbock.

Leonard received several facial fractures during the fight.

The three men accused of beating him faced the grand jury twice due to a court error that did not inform Leonard of the correct date to testify.

Because a grand jury's proceedings are confidential, the events and facts surrounding the incident that made the jury decide"no bill" will not be revealed.
