Four people are now in custody after police uncovered approximately 150 pounds of marijuana in their West Lubbock home.

Lubbock Narcotics Officers executed a search warrant just after 4 p.m. this afternoon at a home on the 3700 block of 40th Street. The marijuana filled two trunks, and it's street value is estimated to be worth about $600 per pound.

Police tell us they had been surveying the home all afternoon and witnessed some suspicious activity that prompted the search warrant. Lieutenant Roy Bassett stresses how important it is to know what your neighbors are up to.

Lieutenant Basset: "The biggest telltale sign that we tell people to watch out for is somebody's coming to my house to visit me, they're probably going to stay longer than 3 to 5 minutes. If you see a lot of vehicular traffic in and out and it's very short stops, that kind of stuff, that's going to be a taletell sign that people are coming by, picking something up."

The four arrested face 2nd degree felonys for the amount of marijuana found in their possession. Those names have not yet been released but we'll of course keep you updated.
