Lubbock Police are investigating the death of an infant.  Detectives are calling this case a homicide.  An ambulance was called to the 2800 block of 85th Street last Wednesday.  After UMC medical staff determined the 11-month-old's critical injuries were not accidental, they called police.

The baby died at the hospital Thursday night.  Reports say the infant was in the care of a babysitter while the parents were at work, but Police are questioning everyone that had contact with the baby within the last few days before his death.  Now, detectives say they've already spoken with a few people, but no suspects have been named as of yet.
