Apartment Fire Leaves Families Homless

Updated: March 17, 2009
Residents of a Lubbock apartment complex are unable to go home after a fire destroys their homes.
The fire started around 6pm Tuesday at the Raleigh Place Apartments at Raleigh and 21st street.
Two fire stations were called in to put out the blaze.
At one point, the three story complex reportedly had flames covering the outer walls, as well as the interior of the apartments.
The damage has made many of the apartments unliveable.
The Red Cross is helping the five families affected.
One firefighter was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
The Lubbock fire marshal is investigating and they're asking anyone who might have saw something to report what they know to authorities.
