Authorities have finally found and arrested a man who was charged with murder 8 years ago. Mexican officials found Joel Armando Saucedo in Mexico, near Puerto Vallarta.

Police say he fled there after the murder of Jose Neri in 2001. Neri was found bound and beaten to death at the Corte Vista Apartments, where he was a manager. Saucedo was charged with the murder soon after he fled to Mexico.

Lubbock officials are relieved the search is finally over. Says DA Matt Powell, "I'm not deciding whether he's guilty or not guilty right now, but I'm just excited that we're going to get, for the victim's family, to get to bring him to a jury in Lubbock County and let the hury decide if he's guilty." Lubbock Detective Rene MArtinez says, "We are happy that he's in custody, but we've still got aways to go. We will be happy when he's here."
