The '"person of interest" in the city's three recent, related homicides is now in police custody. Police say the 31-year-old man turned himself in at the police station around 11:00 Thursday morning, and was immediately arrested for an outstanding warrant unrelated to the recent shootings.Tyrone Jermaine Robinson is charged with aggravated assault. Police say back in February this year, he shot a man several times along the 1900 block of 60th Street, but the victim survived. Detectives say they have reason to believe ... Robinson also has information about Lubbock's three recent homicides. Last Thursday, Angela Holt was shot and killed on East 8th Street. Friday morning, Daniel Wilbon was gunned down in his home on East Rice. Then, Tuesday night, Aldo Cervantes was shot to death in a friend's driveway on 22nd Street. Cpt. Greg Stevens says they are relieved to have Robinson in custody for questioning, but he says the investigation into the three connected homicides is far from over. "Those cases have not been closed. Nobody's been arrested for those homicides at this time and there are no named suspects at this time. Now, that could change in the near future based on the work the detectives have continued to do night and day since these homicides occurred. We're hopeful for that,"
Now police are still looking for more information on all three cases. Of course if you have any information, call the Crimeline at 741-1000. You can remain anonymous.
