The Silent Wings Museum commemorated the 65th anniversary of D-Day with two days of events. The Winged Commandoes were there to explain the role of the glider pilots. There was old World War II memorabilia and the Airborne Demonstation team led a tour of the planes and put on an air show.

The curator of the Silent Wings Museum, Shelly Crittendon , says it's important to remember this day in history, "Just to commemorate the importance of D Day, that's what these guys are all about, these different living history groups are here for, to help engage the public and kinda of allow the public to see a little bit of history itself."

Along with the flight experience and displays, there was also a reception and a screening of the film 'D-Day Remembered'.
