TTU Cancer Center Helps Children

The Cancer Center at the Texas Tech School of Medicine has shown some promising research in the fight against cancer in children.  It opened its doors in july of 2008 and since then is showing some promising research. Center officials say their results using a new form of a Vitamin A drug has proven beneficial for children with neuroblastomas, which is the second most common solid tumor found in children. Officials say the Cancer Center will be doing trials here in Lubbock that will be used across the nation to find more cancer treatments.
