Bond Proposal

The Citizens Advisory Committee voted on what they will recommend to the City Council for a November bond election.

The recommendations include the re-paving of 34th Street between Avenue Q and Indiana, three new fire stations, money for new soccer fields at Milwaukee and 1585, numerous new street paving in Southwest Lubbock including a 3-lane road on 114th Street, an expansion of Milwaukee south of 94th Street, and a seven lane thoroughfare on Quaker Avenue from 98th to 114th.

Estimated cost is around $60 million.

Th recommendations are expected to be handed over next council meeting.
