Lady Raiders Drop Big 12 Opener

Twenty-three turnovers doomed the Lady Raiders in Kirsty Curry`s Big 12 debut. Baylor converted those turnovers into 19 points and held off Texas Tech for a 61-54 win. Texas Tech jumped out to a 10-1 lead as Baylor missed its first 12 shots from the floor but the Bears answered with an 11-0 run and never trailed again. Chesley Dabbs paced the Lady Raiders with 12 points, while Alesha Robertson and Patrice Edwards scored 10 each.
