Tech Men, Women Sweep Double-Header

Both Tech basketball teams rolled through a busy day of basketball at the United Spirit Arena on Saturday. The men beat Oklahoma 68-54 giving Bob Knight his 881st win of his career. The women meanwhile took care of Oklahoma State 75-49 bringing them to 1-1 in conference play. Jon Plefka led the second half charge for the Tech men with 12 points in 17 minutes after replacing the injured Esmir Rizvic. Plefka played in just 11 combined minutes in the previous five games. According to Knight, Rizvic suffered a fractured eye socket. On the womens side, Alesha Robertson led the Lady Raiders with 18 points and freshman Raquel Christian chipped in 13.
