Folks in charge expect between 80,000 and 100,000 people to be at Saturday's 4th on Broadway festivities, but getting there may be a little more difficult this year.

The shuttle buses that have been a staple for many families commuting to the fireworks show at Mackenzie Park will not be used this year.

Organizers say budget constraints have forced them to cut the shuttles, so they've added additional parking.

Families can now park at Broadway and Nutmeg, Broadway and Canyon Lake or the South Plains Fairgrounds.

"The cost of gas, everything just keeps going up and so that challenge of the budget constraints and so we would love to do that (shuttle buses) and maybe if we have a really great event this year and can save away a little bit of money, we'll be able to do it again next year," Event organizer, Tracy Bacon says.

If you're planning to park in one of those three lots, it will cost you five dollars per car.
