Everyone loves a party, but with every party, there comes a mess. And someone has to clean up that mess. Residents from the Adult Probation Division of the Lubbock County Community Corrections Facility have been out for the past two days cleaning up the mess from July 4th. The residents mostly ran afoul of the law through addictions to drugs and alcohol. "I've taken away from my community for so long. It's nice, and it makes me proud to come out here and give back to my community," Hurt said. Aside from community service, the residents also go through intensive addiction therapy programs. The goal is to get them ready to stay clean when they are allowed back into society
Resident Randall Hurt says he doesn't mind cleaning up after others. In fact he says, it's about time he did something for the community.
