The Can Can Fun in the Sun Food Drive kicked off today. It's happening at the United at the corner of 82nd and Frankford today through Friday.

The South Plains Food Bank will be collecting donations of both food and money.

David Weaver, Jr. is the Executive Director of the South Plains Food Bank.  He says your donations are an investment in the community and your neighbors.

"There's a community that cares, and even though you may be down on your luck, you may have lost your job, you may be struggling for finding food.  There are people who will step up and say, 'We'll help take care of you because if the situation were reversed you'd do the same for me," Weaver said.
