The Citizens Advisory Committee presented a $60.5 million bond proposal to the Lubbock City Council.

Seventy percent of the money is dedicated to street repairs.

The remaining 30 percent will go to public safety projects like new traffic signals and fire stations.

Ten million dollars will be dedicated to the installation of splash pools in several public parks and new soccer fields.

The council must now have public hearings before they approve a November election.
