A Sunday out at Lake Alan Henry turns tragic for a group of friends when one falls overboard and drowns. Police say 35 year-old Daniel Parker fell off his boat around 8 Sunday night. They recovered his body from the water a little after 9:30 Monday morning.

"The other seven people onboard immediately noticed he had gone overboard, saw him go overboard, and began to try to rescue him. Other boats in the area, other people in the area joined into that, and unfortunately were unable to find him," says Captain Greg Stevens with the Lubbock Police Department.

Parker's body is now at the medical examiner's office in Lubbock where they'll determine the official cause of death.
