We're just days away from a Lubbock City Council vote on the proposed bond election, and the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce has already made their intentions clear. The Chamber says they back the $60 million bond proposal which includes money to re-pave 34th Street and to build spray pools and new soccer fields. That extra support's giving members of the Citizen's Advisory Committee - the ones who came up with the bond proposal - some confidence with the council.

"I'm very encouraged. I think any time you can get the Chamber to give you their vote on something that's good, saying that they agree with what we did. And I think it is something that most people can agree with," says Citizen's Advisory Commitee member Kevin Watson.

Council members have until August 30 to decide whether or not to allow a bond election this November.
