LCU-Wayland Split Doubleheader

The Wayland Baptist Pioneers beat No. 18 Lubbock Christian, 76-70, Monday in Plainview. Senior Kendall Webb scored 13 for the Pioneers in the win. The Flying Queens had no such luck in their attempt at an upset of the No. 5 Lady Chaparrals. LCU held Wayland Baptist scoreless in the first seven minutes of each half on its way to a 57-36 win. Talita Aguiar led the Lady Chaps with 14 points.
