While store owners begin to weave through the red tape in Lubbock one Abernathy store is already selling beer and wine.

Lynn Goble owns what might be West Texas's only farm supply -slash- beer and wine store.

Goble applied for his permit after customers told him it would be a good way to make some extra money, and he says he's trying to make his customers happy.

"When they talked about, we're going to put a beer store in and it kind of went around and we said, 'Man, we've got to try to make it come true,'" Goble said.

"Some of our customers say we're the only complete farmers' supply store."

Goble says he has the only alcohol store between The Strip and Plainview, but he expects competition in the near future.
