Two Alcohol Protestors Speak Out

By: Danielle Todesco
Updated: August 16, 2009

Two alcohol sales protestors speak out together, hoping to gain your support.

After filing a formal protest against the sale of alcohol for many parts of Lubbock county, they are now waiting for a hearing.
Many say they're holding up alcohol sales after the citizens voted overwhelmingly to go wet.  But they say the alcohol election went off before any research was actually done.  Now they are leaving it up to the state to decide.

Don Workman and Lauran Collins say they've heard this is now going to a hearing, but no word on when or where that will be held.
