A bulletin board post at the Lubbock County Courthouse has ignited more than just a political discussion.

Now two weeks after the sign was posted, the Lubbock County Judge who put it up, is speaking out.

Lubbock County Judge Tom Head posted the controversial sign on a bulletin board on the first floor of the courthouse.

The posting shows 15 mug shots, all wearing President Obama tee shirts.

A message attached, stereotypes some Obama supporters as criminals and drug addicts.

Judge Head issued a public apology Friday, saying he never meant any racial disrespect.

In a news conference Tuesday, he said he is not a racist.

In fact, he met with leaders of the African American community who, he says, have offered their forgiveness.

"All I can do is say I did it, it's my fault, I'm the guilty party. I caused an offense, that offense has been divisive in the community and it's brought reproach on things that I hold dear, and I don't know what else to do than say I'm sorry, please forgive me," Judge Head said Tuesday.
