Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison made a campaign stop in Lubbock today, promoting her run for Texas Governor.
Folks filled the Frazier Alumni Pavillion at Texas Tech to hear the Senator's plans for the state.
For Lubbock, Senator Hutchison says she wants to push for more research at Tech, to help make it a tier one university. And she says she'll make agriculture a priority.
Her campaign slogan is 'Texas can do better,' -- a direct hit on her Republican opponent and current Governor Rick Perry.
Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Texas (R): "We've had ten years of Governor Perry, I think 14 years of one person making all the appointments to every board and state agency commission, is just too much. I think we need change, new people, new ideas, and a real re-invigoration of the Republican Party."Senator Hutchison will continue her Tour of Texas tomorrow and Friday, with stops in Abilene and Midland.
