As local 7-11 stores gear up to sell alcohol, they are responding on issues they have encountered to get here.
Market Manager of area 7-11's, Ryan Suttles, says they are glad to hear the citizens' protests have been dismissed by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, but variance hearings left one of their stores out of the running. The 7-11 near Alderson Middle School was their only location not granted permission to sell beer and wine through the variance hearing.
Still, Suttles says 21 other locations are primed and ready. They have a hearing in front of Judge Head this Thursday. They expect to stock beer and wine in stores by October at the latest.
