abc-logo2007-11-05-1194325611.JPGLUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech’s regular-season finale against Oklahoma has been picked up for broadcast by ABC and will kickoff at 7 p.m. on Nov. 17 at Jones AT&T Stadium. The game will mark the Red Raiders’ ninth television appearance of the season and fifth straight on ABC.

The kickoff time is the latest for Tech since last season’s 8 p.m. CT kick at UTEP. The last time the Red Raiders kicked off past 6 p.m. at Jones AT&T Stadium was in 2003 when Tech and Texas A&M played on FSN at 9 p.m. The Red Raiders won that game 59-29.

Texas Tech enters this weekend’s game at No. 14 Texas with a 7-3 overall record and 3-3 mark in Big 12 play after last week’s 38-7 win at Baylor. The Red Raiders got back in the win column after successive losses at Missouri and at home against Colorado. Oklahoma is 8-1 overall and 4-1 in league play and enters this weekend’s game against Baylor in Norman as the nation’s fourth-ranked team in both polls. The Sooners have won four straight since suffering its lone defeat of the season at Colorado.

Fewer than 1,500 tickets remain for the Oklahoma game. Fans can purchase tickets by contacting the Texas Tech Ticket Office at (888) GO-BIG-12 or (806) 742-TECH. Tickets also can be purchased through area Select-a-Seat outlets and at www.texastech.com.
