Lubbock's Own "Without a Trace"

It's been nearly two years since a Lubbock man stumbled across the skull of a teen boy in Yellowhouse Canyon. And officials say it's been over a year since they've have any new leads.

It’s kind of like Lubbock’s very own “Without a Trace”, if you’ve seen that show, only it's not a missing person, instead a body found and the only thing missing is his identity.

The story starts December 29th, 2005. When a Lubbock man was walking in the canyon and noticed what looked like a human skull. Officials verified the findings and were able to locate 95 percent of the human remains within a week. But what they weren't able to locate was his identity. Officials feel a certain somebody knows who this is.           

"I'm sure there's somebody that knows what happened", says Sgt. Terri Stephens with the Lubbock Sheriff’s Department. "Going by what you have in evidence, do you think it is a murder? Do you think it could be family involved?", asked KLBK’s Candace Hutchins. "Any death investigation is going to be considered foul play until proven otherwise", responded Sgt. Stephens.
