The Red Raiders ruined Baylor`s first game of the season Wednesday night, beating the Bears 79-61. Jarrius Jackson was Tech`s leading scorer with 22 points. Martin Zeno added 21, while John Plefka and Dior Lawhorn scored 12 and 11, respectively. Tech, led by Lawhorn`s 13 rebounds, outrebounded Baylor, 45-26. Because of NCAA violations that came to light after the murder of Patrick Dennehy in 2003, Baylor was not allowed to play any non-conference games this season. Tech is now 9-7 for the season and 1-1 in Big 12 conference play. They next play Iowa State at the United Spirit Arena on Saturday. Tip-off will be at 11 a.m.
