Expanded alcohol sales officially came to lubbock on September 23rd.  That's the day local convenience stores began selling alcohol for off-premise use.

It turns out that was the beginning of the end for one business at The Strip.

Double T Discount closed its doors for on October 31st.

Former employees say business fell off dramatically when folks had no reason to keep coming to The Strip.  Now one former employee says he's out of a job.

Robbie Sherrill worked at Double T for over a year.  Now he says he's looking for work.

"I just opened up a savings account. And I was hoping to put some money in there. But now...You know... I got nothing so I'm just looking for another job," Sherrill said.
