Stubb's Feeds The Homeless

By: Danielle Todesco
Updated: November 15, 2009

Hundreds of Lubbock's homeless had a good meal today thanks to the folks with Stubb's famous barbecue.  Stubb's started right here in Lubbock and that's why the company's new president brought the crew here first on their Feed the World tour.  They're now going all across the state.

New owner Kurt Koegler says they hope Stubb himself would be proud of their mission.

"Stubb used to tell people that he was born hungry and wanted to feed the world so one of the things we've done this year is toured the country and stopped in about 25 different cities and worked with about 20 different homeless organizations and fed hungry people just like Stubb would be doing if he were here today."

On their tour, they will log 10,000 miles and they will serve more than 1,600 pounds of barbecue.
