Families lined up around the Health Department this afternoon for a chance to vaccinate their youngest ones against the H1N1 virus.

The Health Department vaccinated 150 children from six months to 5 years-old Tuesday. Those kids will need a second dose of the vaccine next month, but the department says even one dose can provide protection against catching the flu.

"It gives us a sense of pride that we can help prevent disease by getting these kids vaccinated, and we're so glad that people are coming," says Bridget Faulkenberry, the Public Health Manager.

The Health Department chose to vaccinate that specific age group because they say it's the one most at risk for not being covered by providers.
