Lubbock City Council, Cotton Kings Meet

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Fans would like to see the City of Lubbock give more financial support towards the Cotton Kings. However, the Cotton Kings have never stated publicly that they are struggling financially. Lubbock City Council members deny any issues involving the Cotton Kings were discussed in Thursday`s meetings. However, sources tell KLBK-13 that the Cotton Kings and the city are in negotiations. Many fans are worried that the Cotton Kings will leave the Hub City because, like KLBK-13 first reported on Monday, the team is up for sale on globalbx.com. It will be hard for the Cotton Kings to depart Hub City, considering the Kings are still under contract with the city.
