badparents2007-12-12-1197515814.jpgA sheriff's office sting Wednesday in Lubbock sent 12 men and women to jail for not paying child support. Sheriff's deputies are cracking down on a total of 46 dead beat parents who either haven't paid their child support or are behind. Of the 46 they were after, they arrested 12.

Those 12 people were taken downtown and booked in the Lubbock County Jail. In addition to the 12 arrested for back child support, five others were arrested for non-related outstanding warrants. Deputies say they are not finished yet. They plan to hit the streets again Thursday morning to catch those they couldn't find Wednesday.
