A few of our men and women in uniform are making the season very bright for some Lubbock families.

The Toys for Tots program has been running for quite a while now.  But Wednesday, parents in need were finally able to pick out toys for their kids.

The Marines say they collected about 12,000 toys.  So, they say they’ll be able to help out about 3,500 kids this year.

The toy pick-up will continue Thursday at the Lubbock Fairgrounds.
