Retailers Hit With Returns After Christmas

By: Danielle Todesco
Updated: December 26, 2007
It's been a record low year for holiday sales.  And today the mall caught another blow...returns.

The day after Christmas is traditionally known as the biggest return day of the year.  Retailers at the South Plains Mall say they saw quite a few of returns and exchanges.  But some are still cashing in on folks with their holiday gift cards.

Bradley Whitworth, MGR, Cardinal's Sports Center:
"Usually the day after Christmas is a big day for us.  A lot of traffic, there are returns and exchanges but also a lot of people using gift cards and money they got for Christmas."
