The city is still buzzing from the big win at the Gator Bowl yesterday, but how does it help Texas Tech's enrollment?
Admissions Directors at Tech say enrollment has been steadily increasing over the past few years...and major publicity like the Gator Bowl can only help.
Robert Shindell at the Office of Admissions says Tech's win on national TV is truly great marketing.
"Oh it was great. And any time that Texas Tech is playing in a bowl game on New Year's Day, it's certainly just wonderful exposure for the university. It opens us up to a wider audience than we can get with just direct mail, I mean that game was cast nationwide!"
Shindell says enrollment is up about 19% from last year.
