We ended 2007 with 16 homicides.  Police quickly solved 13 of them, but 3 remain unsolved.

Police found the body of 40-year-old Selena Kuykendall back in April.  They say someone beat and killed her somewhere else then dumped her body on a dirt road in Northeast Lubbock. Then in September, someone shot 28-year-old John Wilkerson multiple times in his East Lubbock driveway.  In October, police say 4 men used a blunt object to beat 40-year-old Monty Edler to death in Southwest Lubbock.  Police have made no arrests in these murders and say they need your help closing the cases.

John Caspell with the LPD.
