DALLAS - In the history of the Big 12 Womens Basketball Tournament, a No. 12 seed had never beaten a No. 5 seed. On Tuesday, it was no different. The Lady Raiders, seeded fifth in the tournament, won easily over Oklahoma State, 61-42. LaToya Davis, Patrice Edwards, Alesha Robertson and Darrice Griffin all scored in double figures for the Lady Raiders. David paced Tech with 15 points and 10 rebounds. The game was never really in doubt for Tech. The Lady Raiders had a 26-15 lead at halftime. Erin Myrick suffered a knee injury early in the game and had to be helped to the locker room. Tech officials say the Tech center underwent an MRI and her condition would be evaluated Tuesday evening. Tech faces fourth-seeded Missouri on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
