A hot topic at today's city council meeting were the results from a public survey conducted on the possible May bond election.

The Chamber of Commerce sent out the survey to it's 4,000 members and the majority of those who responded are in favor of the proposal to spend nearly 90 million dollars on repairing, reconstructing, and expanding roads across the city.  What they don't seem to like, are the plans to spend 11 million dollars on the new youth soccer facility out near FM 1585 and Milwaukee.  The chamber also recommended having the bond election in November instead of May so, local politics don't get in the way of improving our city.

The Council has to decide next month whether to include the bond package in the May ballot.
