LUBBOCK, Texas - In response to reports that Tulsa University has cancelled its football contract with Texas Tech and is replacing the Red Raiders with Arkansas, Texas Tech Director of Athletics Gerald Myers said "we are still under contract to play the game in Lubbock on August 30."

"For Tulsa to cancel this game with only eight months notice would be an act of bad faith on their part and, Tulsa University being an institute of higher education, we fully expect them to honor the contract," Myers said. "A cancellation at this late date would make it almost impossible to schedule a quality opponent at this time."

Texas Tech has seven homes games scheduled next season and five on the road.
