Final Score: Oklahoma State 74, Texas Tech 55
Stillwater, OK (Sports Network) - Obi Muonelo scored 21 points to lead the Oklahoma State Cowboys to a 74-55 victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders in a Big 12 matchup at the Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Ibrahima Thomas added 16 points for Oklahoma State (10-5, 1-0 Big 12), while James Anderson tallied 13 points, and Marcus Dove tallied 10 in the win.
Martin Zeno netted 10 points for Texas Tech (8-6, 0-1), while Esmir Rizvic chipped in nine points and pulled down 12 rebounds.
The Cowboys used a 9-0 run late in the first half to take a slim, 35-32 lead into the break.
Oklahoma State exploded in the second stanza, using an impressive 21-2 run en route to a 19-point win over the Red Raiders.
Texas Tech's head coach Bobby Knight came into the game with 899 career victories, but will have to wait until Wednesday night to try and collect that elusive 900th win. On Wednesday the Red Raiders will square off against 11th ranked Texas A&M.
