LAWRENCE, Kansas -- The Texas Tech baseball team fell to Kansas on Friday, 5-3, in the first of a three-game series with the Jayhawks.
Kansas took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, back-to-back bunts by Jason Seefeld and Willie Rueda brought home Joey Callender and Roger Kieschnick, giving the Red Raiders a 2-1 lead.
But the lead wouldn`t last. Two errors by Tech defense lead to Jayhawk runs. Kansas would get out of the inning with a 5-3 lead.
Miles Morgan (4-4) got the loss for Tech.
The Red Raiders (22-12, 4-5) play Kansas again on Saturday.
