Kings to Stay in Kingdom...

June 19, 2006 KLBK-13 first reported over the weekend that the Lubbock Cotton Kings will be staying at the Lubbock Coliseum. Kings Majority Owner, Mark Adams spoke to KLBK-13 and stated the Kings will have a new lease for the 2006-07 season. A deal with Adams and the city has been agreed upon, in principle. Adams hopes to meet with officials later this week. The new lease could become official anytime in the next 2-3 weeks. As for the sale of the Kings. Adams also stated the team is still for sale. The Kings Owner says there is a possiblity some investors from outside of Lubbock may join his exsisting partnership. Adams also told KLBK-13, as of now, there aren`t any investors locally who are interested in joining his exsisting group or purchasing the team.
