PITBULLattack2008-02-05-1202271111.jpgThis weekend, two pit bulls killed 12 goats just a few miles north of the city.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the stray dogs broke through a local business owners fence.

They then attacked the goats and killed them.

Major Don Carter of LSO said that there are problems with people not taking care of their dogs int he county. He said in the county however, there are no county ordinances that they can use against neglectful dog owners.

Carter said they are considering approaching the County Commissioners Court about making regulations that will allow the LSO to take bigger strides to remedy the problem.
