Lubbock, TX (Sports Network) - David Godbold buried a three-pointer with 1.4 seconds remaining to lift the Oklahoma Sooners to a thrilling 66-64 victory over the Texas Tech Red Raiders in a Big 12 tilt at United Spirit Arena.
Austin Johnson scored 20 points in the win for Oklahoma (17-8, 5-5 Big 12), and Longar Longar chipped in 10 points off the bench. Blake Griffin hauled in a game-high 17 rebounds for the Sooners.
Martin Zeno tallied 18 points and collected seven rebounds to pace Texas Tech (13-11, 4-6) and Damir Suljagic added 12 points and five rebounds off the bench in the losing effort. Alan Voskuil chipped in 11 points.
The Red Raiders shot 54.2 percent from the floor during the first period, opening a 35-31 halftime lead.
The Sooners battled back during the second frame, hitting 48.0 percent of their attempts from the field to set the stage for Godbold's heroics and earn the two-point victory.
The Red Raiders shot just 3-of-12 from beyond the arc in the loss and were guilty of 14 turnovers.
