Updated: January 7, 2009
The Lubbock Cotton Kings announced the signing of left-winger, Jimmy Callahan on Tuesday. The 6`2", 210 pounder played last season in the UHL with the Missouri River Otters. He appeared in 72 games last season with Missouri tallying 10 goals and contributing 15 assists for 25 points. Callahan also served a career high 141 penalty minutes. "Jimmy comes highly recommended to us from past teammates and opponents as a high energy player that will create scoring opportunities for himself and his linemates," said Cotton Kings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Chris Dashney. "He is an aggressive forward with good size and speed, which will allow him to contribute offensively." The Cotton Kings open the season up in October. Chris Dashney also told us on Tuesday that the Kings may re-sign some returning players in the next few weeks.
